Centerpiece ideas – flowers under water with floating candles?
Can anyone link me to sites with sample of centerpieces of flowers submerged with floating candles? I’ve seen a couple of pictures but can’t find many examples of this?

just let your imagination go!!!
And most flowers can be used this way, althought the ones that work the best are the ones that have a waxy coating, i.e. callas, orchids, tulips and roses.
A good florist can help you make it happen once you find the idea you like.
Also individual blooms secured with wire is very cool looking and uses less product in a unexpected way.

I’ve seen those too and thought they were awesome, however, the florist says those don’t hold up for long so the flowers have to be submerged right before you are ready to seat people. Florists generally make all the centerpieces ahead of time and refrigerate them until they are delivered, which is often many hours before the event. So, just take that into consideration if this is what you are choosing to do. Good luck!

Chesney, who is on this board quite frequently, actually did a centerpiece like that. She has a really nice picture of it too.

I think it’s beautiful and stunning. Hopefully she won’t mind that I shared her beautiful centerpiece with you! ♥

This example uses pebbles to secure the orchid so it will stay in place.
