well, since lye is synthesized these days, good luck with the "natural ingredients thing". also you will need lots of alcohol – you CAN use Everclear, but rubbing alcohol is so much cheaper.

There are some formulas online – you can join a soapmaking forum or try this site: http://www.millersoap.com/glycerinsoap.html.

But I strongly recommend you master regular soap making first – it’s not an easy process.

(oh, I think the instructions do include making it from already made soap = but those soaps are made with lye to begin with – there is no such thing as "all natural" soap except African Black Soap which probably won’t work for your process)

I’ve looked a bit on ebay, but if anyone knows a great place (online or a Canadian chain) to get nice flameless candles for very, very cheap, I would appreciate your tips!
(I need to use flameless for safety reaons, because there will be a guest on oxygen in attendance.)

Do you look for an interesting fragrance? An interesting design, color of the soap?? Ingrediants??

First I smell the soap. (I like light, simple smells.) Then I look at the ingredients. I don’t like using lots of chemicals on my body. So I like to ingredient list to be no more than 8 things, and all things that I can pronounce.

Tried Berts Bees and he smelled like a wet noddle after! Tried Natural baby organics and that smells like a strong perfume (even though it says frgrance free) Would like something fragrance free or at least smells good.

Go with Johnson & Johnson, they are the best

And most flowers can be used this way, althought the ones that work the best are the ones that have a waxy coating, i.e. callas, orchids, tulips and roses.

A good florist can help you make it happen once you find the idea you like.

Also individual blooms secured with wire is very cool looking and uses less product in a unexpected way.

Find out if there are any craft fairs or if a local school will be doing a home demo expo for home product sellers.
Make sure you have a marketing plan. Contact info, product info, ingredients etc on the soaps. Find a way to wrap or present them that would catch peoples’ attention as they walk past your table. Keep trying. Does your town have a local chamber of commerce? or do you have a small retailer in town that would carry your merchandise? Good luck.
